Rivus shortlisted for IMI President’s Award

Award winning fleet solutions provider, Rivus, has been named as a finalist in a new award from the Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI).

The annual IMI awards are part of the continuing mission to celebrate and champion the best of automotive industry. Reflecting the changing automotive landscape, two new categories were added for this year; Environmental, Sustainability and Green Innovation in Learning and Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI).

The President’s Award 2023, sponsored by BMW/Alphera, focused on Environmental, Sustainability and Green Innovation in Learning with the aim of shining a spotlight on the individuals and businesses demonstrating a forward-thinking commitment to the rapidly evolving automotive technologies.

Steve Nash, CEO of the IMI said: “The automotive sector is facing huge challenges, but it is the commitment of continual professional development that we see every day that will make the difference to our success in the long-term. It is, therefore, critical to ensure that the Awards reflect the changing and challenging landscape and the efforts of individuals to ensure that they are ready for the future.”

Rivus was among three finalists for its ongoing investment into learning and development. The nomination comes on the back launching its IMI Approved Rivus Academy for training LCV and HGV technicians, and its industry leading work on alternative fuels (AF), EV testing and data driven insights.

Victoria Knight, Chief Executive Officer (Interim) and previously Group HR Director at Rivus said: “We are thrilled to be acknowledged by the IMI President in this new focusing on Environmental, Sustainability and Green Innovation in Learning. Already signed up to IMI TechSafe™, Rivus has technicians based throughout its garage network that are qualified to IMI Level 3 or 4 in Electric/Hybrid Vehicle System Repair and Replacement. It also delivers regular in-person and online Alternative Fuel knowledge events, giving customers and partners a forum for sharing best practice and actionable insights, as well as access to an online learning hub.

  • Apprentice of the Year
  • Contribution to the Work of the IMI
  • Outstanding Contribution to the Motor Industry – sponsored by AutoTech
  • Partner of the Year

The winners and finalists were celebrated at the IMI Annual Dinner on Wednesday 15th March 2023, hosted by award-winning journalist and ITN newscaster, Nina Hossain.
