5 Minutes with Nicola Morgan on the CV Show

Why is the CV Show important to Rivus?

The Commercial Vehicle Show has always been a major highlight in our calendar as it brings so many different areas of automotive and fleet together in one place. We love exhibiting at and attending the CV Show as it gives us a great opportunity to meet new and existing customers, find out what challenges they are facing with their fleets right now, and discuss how our products and services can help make their life easier.

What are you highlighting/showcasing at the show this year?

We’re really excited about this year’s show as we have lots of new developments to talk about. This year we’re demonstrating our new Vehicle Check App, designed to take the pain out of daily vehicle checks for drivers and fleet managers. We’re also showcasing our HGV expertise for the first time under our new Rivus brand, following the integration of Rivus Fleet Solutions and Pullman Fleet Solutions earlier this year, and launching our new Simple SMR service package, tailored specifically for fleets of 15 – 125 vehicles that may not have a dedicated fleet manager or fleet operation.

Tell us about the recently integrated Rivus and its nationwide fleet management offer?

Following the acquisition of HGV specialist Pullman Fleet Solutions in 2020, we announced earlier this year our intention to unite both businesses into one stronger, more integrated brand and operation, known simply as Rivus.

We know the fleet industry wants an experienced fleet partner that’s easy to do with and delivers an efficient and reliable service every time. By bringing all our LCV, EV and HGV specialist expertise together, we are able to offer our award-winning fleet management capabilities all in one convenient place, making things much easier for our customers and delivering what they need. With Rivus, there is no need to send LCVs, EVs and HGVs all to different places for SMR – we can do it all in one operation.

What is your favourite CV Show memory?

For me personally, I loved last year’s event as it was my first trade show in the fleet industry, and the first event held at the NEC as we started to come out of lockdown. It was great seeing everybody getting back out into a ‘normal’ world and catching up with friends, old and new.

What are your anticipated highlights for this year?

We’ve got so many new developments to talk about this year. We’re really looking forward to talking to as many new contacts as possible, and being able to engage with a wider customer audience now we’ve combined our LCV, EV, HGV and specialist equipment experience into our new brand.

Our team of EV experts are also on hand to help fleets of all sizes either start, progress or accelerate their transition to electric. Sarah Gray, our Head of Electric & Alternative Fuel Vehicles, is also delivering a great session on Wednesday 25th on the Road Ahead stage that looks at all the important factors to consider when electrifying a fleet.

What’s your advice for anyone attending the show for the first time?

There’s a lot to see at the CV Show so you really need to spend a full day there to make best use of your time. My advice would be to set up appointments in advance of the show with the suppliers you really want to talk to as stands can get very busy. But also make sure that you visit every exhibitor there and talk to people that you’ve not met before. There are so many suppliers exhibiting offering different solutions, and you may discover a product or service that could be one of the most beneficial things to you that day.

If you’ve never met or spoken to the Rivus team before, drop by our stand at 5B55 as we could have the perfect solution to many of your fleet problems.
